Lots of sticks but no bricks yet

Been there done that and getting old. Decided to get back into real estate. Here is our new S&B as of a couple days ago. Trading stuff storage bill for RV storage bill - turns out to be almost the same amount monthly. Wish I could say S&B cost was about equal to RV park fees. New community has an RV club so that and our summer trip to Creede will help justify keeping the RV for a few more years. House should be finished and close in July. Biggest decision we have to make is - stay in Creede, CO. for the rest of the summer and leave new house empty for a month or two OR head to HOT TX and start making new house ours. Both alternatives are very tempting. I am betting empty house wins. Mind blowing the process of completely outfitting and decorating an empty house without the moving van. We are looking forward to the new adventure.

Why not expand the garage to fit the RV in there? Then you don't have to pay for storage!

Yup - big time. It is a Del Webb community. Must get OK for a potted plant on the front porch.

Looks like a slab home, no steps. Nice! Del Webb just announced new project in Corcoran MN. $150 Sq Ft for new construction in MN. + Cost of lot.

We just bought in the only Del Webb in N OH. It’s crazy: any time a house goes up for sale, it’s sold in a matter of hours. We made an offer on one BEFORE it was up for sale (resident realtor’s neighbor). Super convenient location, though.

Our HOA (not Del Webb) gives us the full timer effect. We can leave for 3 months with few worries. HOA also less expensive than owning and maintaining a single family home. Up front purchase price, utilities, insurance, re taxes, and maintenance all lower. We use the "savings" to camp.

Your next door neighbor looks to be about 8 ft away. Just like an RV Park.

Most of the Del Webbs have houses 10-20 feet away. They also often have fabulous clubhouses, pools, tennis/pickle ball, activities, and walking paths (among other things) - so more like a good RV “Resort” than just a RV Park. The low-maintenance part works out super for RVers:-)
