Once, while parked at a downtown Reno RV Park, we decided to take a day trip up rural roads to Lake Tahoe. Looking back from those roads we got some pictures of the Reno/Sparks areas. That tall building in Sparks is the Golden Nugget Casino.

If you ever travel up or down CA Highway #1 you might want to find a place to park for a day or two and explore the Morro Bay area. Some of the beach areas are huge. Others are great for surf fishing. Even in mid-July, the breezes off the cold Pacific Ocean may require long sleeved shirts or light wind breaker jackets.
We once stayed at the Apple Island RV Resort at South Hero, VT. We had a nice grassy FHU site with easy access to US-2.
On a day trip to downtown Burlington, we parked and had lunch at a café near the city park. The park is situated on a knoll overlooking Lake Champlain where you can take a ferry boat ride to a coastal town in NY for some trinket shopping.
On an early morning trip up US-95 from Yuma to Quartzsite for a RV rally, we encountered some heavy overcast skies. They provided us with some eerie pictures of the mountains. Upon arrival at Quartzsite the sky was still full of dark clouds. As the day wore on the skies cleared and all was well again in AZ.
