Moving to Forida
We are moving to Florida from Utah with our Motorhome towing a car. In all of your traveling what is the best route to go and are there any tolls?
Thanks

Have you already moved from Caldwell, ID to UT, and now planning your move to FL, or is this a permanent move??

From where in Utah to where in Florida?
What time of year?
Do you want to see anything enroute or just a straight shot?

March is still iffy - weatherwise. We got stuck in a blizzard in April around Twin Falls, ID. If you're able to be flexible on exact date of leaving that would be best. Just watch the weather closely.
I'd recommend a more southerly route. 2180 miles
I-15 to 50/I-70 south of Provo at Scipio, UT. If weather is good you could take I-15 south to Spanish Fork and pick up Hwy 6/191 to I-70 at Green River near Moab.
At Moab take 191 south to 491 to Shiprock, AZ then 64/550 to Albuquerque, NM
I-40 east to 287 at Amarillo, TX
Instead of going thru Dallas take 380 E. and drop down somewhere beyond Dallas to I-20 to Jackson, MS
49/98 to Mobile, Alabama and east on I-10 to Florida
The only really big city to deal with is Albuquerque & it's not as bad as some. Dallas, also, if you choose to go thru it. No tolls.
Enjoy Florida!

Coming south on I-75, you can/will pick up the Florida Turnpike to Orlando area.
Before you move down to there I would go ahead and get the "Uni toll pass". Allot of tolls around Orlando.
If you use Harvest Host there is a good spot in Tallahassee, The Antique Auto Museum right off I-10. We stopped there Thursday night on the way to Gulf State Park.

We flew from Orlando FL to SLC last February 28 to pick up our current 2006 Monaco Dynasty from Clay's RV who had it on consignment for the previous owner. We only had enough time to drive a few miles south on I-15 to the local Sam's Club in South Jordon UT to stay for the night.
Considering the time of year, we decided to take I-15 south to Las Vegas then weaved our way down to Quartzsite to visit my sister one night. Got on 1-10 and stayed on that all the way east except for using a bypass around New Orleans which is I-12.
No weather problems except for the wind in AZ.
We were not interested in sightseeing as we had limited personal belongings with us (whatever we could carry on the plane), so we made a beeline to Florida. We did the 2900 miles arriving at our home in Florida on March 10th.
Luckily it was a "fairly" good trip with no major interruptions.
Had to purchase new chassis batteries the first morning. Luckily Sam's Club had them. Had a hiccup with the Allison transmission output speed sensor in Quartzsite which "fixed" itself. Once home I removed the connector, cleaned and lubricated it. No more issues. Then the last two days of driving I had no windshield wipers. The wiper motor crank arm had stripped and fallen off.
Overall, we had a good trip!
Love the coach as it was exactly what we were looking for even though the "certified" NRVIA inspection was a waste of money. The inspector wasn't qualified to work on a high-end Monaco coach with all of the sophisticated systems. He needed to stick to the basic RV's.
I would have been in a better bargaining position had I done the inspection myself. Lesson learned!

And yes, do get set up with tolling before you get here. It's a hassle and quite a bit more expensive if you don't. Pretty much no more cash tolling, done by "toll by plate" with higher tolls and a billing service charge.
