I am a retired 58 year youngster. For the last few years I have been playing with a couple of rock bands and jazz bands in Colorado, the musicians were the age of my children but I had a great time.
Now I am on the road .
I am looking for other musicians who are interested in playing at campgrounds, rallies, etc. I would love to play classic rock covers. I play conga drums and various other noise makers. I also play the CAJON. The cajon is a box I sit on and can be made to sound like a drum kit without cymbols. It fits very well with accoustic guitars. I have also played as part of a duo called the Good Times Music Company http://thelastbus.com/SideProjects.html where we looped our music and sounded like a full band. I still have all the electronic stuff to make it happen.
What I have in mind is getting together with other musicians and working up a play list of music that will move the people's feet, then offering our services to RV parks, campgrounds, etc. ...maybe for free stays at the campgrounds . If you are a musician and this sounds good to you please contact me. I believe it is time to get some other music out there besides country western or 30s/40s oldies. No offense meant to anyone.
Thanks
Rick

Hey musicians, does anybody like to play classic rock tunes like I do? Baby-boomers?
