Hi everyone. First post here.

I want to ask for general advice on traveling the U.S. for the first time. I'm going to be starting full-time in late September and would like any advice or lessons you may have learned on your first trip.

Thanks!

There are lot's of things to consider, but in
order to help you, what type of RV are you going to full time in?

General things to consider
1. Take only what you need and leave the rest in storage.

2. Make reservations ahead to the campgrounds that you would like to go to.

3. Make sure your RV is Mechanically sound and all systems are in working order.

4. Leave your plans with a family member or friend so that if in an emergency they can contact you. A cel phone is almost a must.

5. If you use Medications be sure they are all filled. Keep Medical info at easy reach in case
of illness or accident.

6. Have a good mail forwarding service.

There are other things that are mostly common sense. Just go and have a good time.

Hi, jt. Welcome to irv2.

There is a lot of information available on full-timing on this and other forums. It's hard to know just where to begin on giving advice since we don't know exactly where you are on your journey toward becoming a full-timer. Do you own a home and, if so, do you plan to sell it? Have you made a decision on your domicile? Do you need info on mail forwarding? Do you have an RV or are you still looking?

If you have any questions on specific areas, I'm sure you will be able to find good answers here at irv2. As far as general advice, I would say remain flexible. Be willing to accept changes.

Best wishes and have fun.
