All the contents of our residence here in Connecticut is either in storage, has been donated or thrown out. This is our last week in a conventional home, and we're living out of miscellaneous boxes at this point and are using our camping chairs to watch TV. We're on the road beginning next Sunday the 2nd of January.

Last night my fellow firefighters took me out to dinner and we had a swell time remembering all those special people in our lives and the events that forged us into what we are today. All I can say that I have never served with such a swell bunch of guys and I will miss the routine of my duties and my brother firefighters however after 25 years the time has come to move on.

It is with much excitement and uncertainty for the future that we've joined the ranks of the Full Time RV'ing Community. We are sure that it's going to work out for us in the near term and we have plans for the long term but like anything in life, nothing is guaranteed.

We have our eyes open and it is with much enthusiasm that we'll go forward from here to Lord knows where and we can only hope that the Good Lord will guide us through these next few years and allow us to enjoy our new life style.

If you're ever around our rig please don't hesitate to drop by and say hello! We'll be the rig with the iRV2 sticker in the front window!

Reading your post broght memories to us. The change, feelings, thoughts, were simular for all of us at this point. It may be early yet, but you will discover a remarkable sense of freedom from all the 'things' you rid yourself of.

We tell the Lord and ourselves each morning this is our life now, help us to make the best of it.

There are still challanges enough to help us appriciate the successes. At the end of each day we are greatfull for the adventure.

It is a wonder filled life, enjoy it to the fullest and welcome.

DriVer,
Congratulations! It's a big step, one we took a year and a half ago, also in an '03 38G. A great rig with few problems. I finally had to find more storage space than the 38G offered and we have moved to a DP. This is a great lifestyle and the time to do it is now, while you are able to enjoy the sights and wonders of our great nation. Here's hoping to see you somewhere down the road.

Enjoy!

Will you be so kind as to have your "name", i.e. "DriVer" painted on your rig wo welallwill know that the Workhorse guru is in our midst?

In all sincerity, I believe we all owe you a great deal for this forum and your efforts and knowledge that helps us all with our gas rigs.

I hope to meet you someday.

Thank you very much. All your kind words and encouragement is appreciated.

I have to find that flea market Bud was talking about. It appears they make vinyl name stickers. I'd like to get "DriVer" and put it on my window sill. Thanks for the suggestion kayo.

DriVer,

I'm SO happy for you! I know this is something you've dreamed of for a long time. I didn't catch this post before now, so I wonder where you headed for your first destination. I'll look around a bit more and see if you've posted since then, but I just wanted to say congratulations and happy trails!
