New to Full-Time RVing - Need parking ideas
I just joined, and don't own an RV yet. I'm going through some major life changes right now and seriously considering living in an RV full-time.
Staying around my stomping ground most of the time would be ideal, so I'm trying to figure out long-term parking situations.
The RV parks in my area are a bit expensive at $45-$60/day (at this price, it's cheaper to get an apartment) and those don't look like a viable option long-term.
There is 1 state park which is much less expensive, but I haven't discussed staying long-term.
Buying an undeveloped lot to park on is also an option.
I would love some other ideas on long-term parking. I am not afraid of changing spots weekly, but I don't want to relocate every day.

many parks have weekly and monthly rates that are a lot lower than the per day rate. Worth asking around.

Already found 1 decent RV park with good monthly rates. Also open to off-the-grid options

Welcome to IRV2!
Most RV parks have weekly or monthly rates that are much lower than the day rates but may not include utilities. As RWold mentioned, state parks are an option but many of them have a maximum stay limit.

Forget state parks for long-term. They're usually 2-weeks max.
Some mobile home parks have RV spaces and are usually cheaper than a regular RV park.
RV parks near popular attractions will be more expensive. Look into the smaller out-of-the-way towns.
If you want to stay in one location consider a mobile home... a lot better insulation so cheaper to maintain for AC and heat.
I just now Googled "Missouri - Long-term RV Parks" and found this site which may help you.

Good luck!

First off Welcome to the forum.
Many RV parks have reasonable monthly rates as others have said.
You will find NPs, COE parks, State parks, City and county parks most of the time have a limit (usually 2 weeks) on length of stay.

You didn’t say whether you are in an urban or rural area, but you might also investigate local farmers or ranchers to see if they may have a place to hook up in exchange for caretaker duties.
We have a neighbor nearby who rents out a small RV parking site with hookups on their 5-acre lot. Local realtors might have some leads you could pursue.

Rural, so there are potentially lots of options.

39 CGs near Hill High MO so one of them should have long term rates that meet your needs

I'm not looking for a mobile home -- the whole idea of having an RV is being able to pick up and leave whenever I want.
If I wanted a permanent home I would just buy a cheap house and use that as a home base

When I answered I didn't know where you wanted to be. I just now looked at your Profile and it said High Hill, MO. This site may help:
