Next step done.

Put the down payment on our full time 5th wheel home. We have an appointment on Wed to do a go thru. The dealer is keeping it ( no storage charge) until May 1st. If my tow vehicle is not in they are going to tow it to the campground that I will be workamping at ( also for free). Now the big thing is to get the house sold.

We just went through this exercise.

We did a room at a time to get rid of all the junk, and then sold what was left. Seemed to work out for us.

Congrats! We aren't fulltimers (part of me wishes we were), but we just moved to a different house. So, we went through some of the purging and decided to really purge big time. It was stupid how much stuff (aka-junk) we had. It is kind of fun, actually. I guess the feeling of getting rid of needless stuff is such a good feeling, that once you begin, it just takes on a life of its own....although it is a lot of work. Embrace the process and keep your eye on the prize.

We're going full-time as of May 1 so we're going thru the downsizing exercise right now! We decided to rent our home rather than sell. Our thought was that someday we might not be able to continue RVing and we need a place to come back to.

Lived in the same house for 27 years so there is a LOT of stuff to go through and purge!

We have been purging for months now. Had 2 yard sales and got rid of a lot of stuff. My 2 kids each bought homes and they took a majority of the furniture. We have a 4 bedroom home and 2 rooms are empty and the guest room has the stuff we want for the RV. One of my boys wants our bedroom set when we finally sell. The living room only has a couch which I will give away or throw away and the TV which is so old ( pre HD bought in 1985 still works great) I will have to also throw away.

Taking everything in the kitchen, bathroom, and clothes from my bedroom.

You might want to do some prelimary calling around about your old tv. Where we lived you couldn't get rid of them, not even in the trash. Even the quarterly recycling wouldn't take them.

We did fine thank you for asking. All we got was a LOT of wind and rain but for me thank goodness no power outage or flooding.

And thank you all for the well wishes. Now just have to get this place sold.
