Norcold Refrigerator freezing up

We have a Norcold gas/electric frig in our camper and are having problems with the refrigerator part freezing our food. We have done what the manual says to try and make it less cold but that does not seem to solve the problem. What it said to do is to move the thermistor to the right for a warmer setting we have done that and waited 24 hrs so reading on thermometer would be accurate it did bring it done some but food is still freezing up and the length of the wire on the thermistor won't allow us to move it any further. Is there possibly another solution

I don't have the answer but maybe something that would work sort of. Typically these things aren't that great at making warm stuff cold. You could use that. Try putting one gallon of lukewarm water in each day and see if that works while you search for a solution. You could also put a cheap digital thermometer/with remote panel inside to help you monitor.
Of all the problems our nevercolds have you definitely have the best one.

Oh yeah...…
welcome to the forum.

too cold Norcold

My friend had a Norcold in his rv . It was a blessing his was getting too cold. We found a leak in the condensor coil in the back of fridge, Great news because thats what causes the FIRES! BE Careful dont use propane .

Please post LINK to manual that stated to 'relocate' thermistor ----curious as I have never seen that??????

Thermistor should be mounted mid-position on 10th FIN (counting from right)

Service manual Pg 8-----N61x Fault Codes
Pg 20---Backup Operating System (BOS)
Pg 34---Lamp/thermistor Assembly

My fridge was freezing everything. I ordered the thermistor called Snip the Tip and it works like a charm. Go the the web site Snip the Tip.com and it has all the details.
