Being retired we travel weekdays, mainly to find sites open after everybody left for the weekend. If I had work and only travel on weekends, the only thing I would make sure of is to have reservations. Pulling around looking for an empty spot at a crowded campground is stressful enough but nothing like not finding one and having to motor on down the road to your back up spot.

Best of luck and safe travels.

If you book your reservations in advance, you'll be fine to move on weekends. IMHO you're lucky to be in the position to do it!

We are full timing and full time work remotely. I need to be available from around 7AM to 5PM M-F. I can miss a an hour or three during that time, but try not to. We set up reservations ahead of time and move on weekends/holidays. So far, it has not been a problem for us. We are in the PNW and find reservations mandatory as it seems we are not alone with our way of living.

We half time and I work remotely. We book reservations in advance and normally stay a week. We find campgrounds busiest on Saturdays. Sunday seems to be a better day to get to new campground. More space in campgrounds for maneuvering and less activities going on. But we travel on either day without an issues.

Agree with others who are retired. If I did not still work we would travel during the week.

I usually travel on non-work days. We usually stay somewhere for two weeks.

It sounds like I'm the odd guy out because depending on the area we will be traveling rough I like to travel on Sundays and usually early when people are still at church or recovering from their Saturday night on town, the roads are much more empty. Now when we out out in small town America areas it doesn't matter so much to me.

As full-timers we don’t have specific “travel days”....

Obviously it’s soooo much easier to find CG space Monday - Thursday/Sunday because weekenders come out in force on Friday/Saturday and usually leave Sunday...

Case in point - We need to be in Northern Maine around May 7-8ish for a summer workkamper position....

We will be leaving Texas April 1 and slowly begin to work our way to Maine....

I already have our route planned out including the CG’s we will use.... All “weekend” (Friday - Sunday) CG’s have already been locked in therefore removing the weekenders from the equation.....

I’ll be using as many COE CG’s as possible because they are all GREAT and we can stay for 1/2 price... In fact, at each of those we will be staying multiple nights.... (one in TN is only $8 a night for water/50 amp)

As I moved further N, the more interesting it became finding CG’s open in April but with my Allstays app I’ve managed to located enough to get us to Maine....

We’ve NEVER had specific travel days....

We do try to stick to our “triple two” rule which allows us to manage our travel to fit our needs!!!!
