Transfer of Ohio CDL License to Florida...

As a current Ohio CDL-Class "A" holder (Haz-Mat/Dbls.-Triples,Motorcycle endorsements) w/a current Medical Card (expires 4/2023) are there any special requirements or concerns to be aware of when we change our domicile to Florida in October of this year? I thought I would ask here and get actual answers from someone who has gone thru the process vs. dealing w/ Florida's Website.

Thanx in advance!

In 2000 I returned to Florida and at the time I had a TN CDL. Don't think there were any problems getting my FL CDL. Certainly something could have changed since then but my understanding of why the CDL was created was so there'd be uniformity between states.
Good luck.

I don't believe you need a CDL license in Florida unless your RV weighs more than 25,001 lb. I'd recommend you call and ask what is needed for yourself.

Maybe he drives trucks for a living.

He didn't say it was for his RV.
