Verizon or ATT
We have been with Verizon for 19 years but because of ongoing issues with them in terms of phones and customer service are thinking of switching to ATT.
Question, for those who have ATT do you have issues nationwide in obtaining cell or data service? If yes, what parts of the country are the worse in terms of obtaining service?
Thanks in advance.

We are with Verizon via Visible. $25 per month unlimited. Customer service is all electronic. We use WEBoost to enhance performance. Not perfect, but we need to reduce screen time when traveling anyway.

I don’t know what phone issue you’re having with Verizon however I’ve experienced a drop in prompt customer service as well. Not sure AT&T or any other Co will be any better as they all are suffering due to Covid. I expect they’ll be back to previous levels soon ( I hope )

Moving from verizon to att was the best move we've made for the same reasons. Verizon got worse towards its current customers.

The answer is you should have both if you want cell coverage across a large swath of the country.
I have Verizon (visible), and my wife has ATT for that very reason. We have run into many areas of the country where one of us has service, and the other does not. It flip flops back and forth as to which carrier has better signal…..just depends on our location.
Verizon generally has more rural coverage than does ATT especially out west.

Both.
Verizon used to be our go to carrier with ATT more limited it was just a backup. But now we find better service with ATT and use Version as our backup.
We do this for our phones and for mobile internet devices in the RV.

X2 - we do the same thing. Where one isn’t great, the other often is. Take a look at the low cost providers like Visible and US Mobile and Mint. They use the same networks for lower cost and have been running some deals lately.

I have Verizon, as ATT just does not have reliable coverage at either of my homes (MI and FL). I have had generally good results with Verizon elsewhere, but these things are very location specific, and if you want the best chance of coverage everywhere, take Pasdad1's suggestion and get both.

Other than occasional lapses through no-man's land while driving, we have only camped in one place that ATT had no signal, and that was in Door Co. WI.

I switched to AT&T from Verizon in January due to arguments I was having with "foreign" Verizon customer service. But ... I have found that AT&T has less coverage out west than Verizon. I did switch back this week because I am full time and my husband passed away in November, so it is just me. I need to have cell coverage on the road.
I have also purchased a PepWave that has an AT&T sim card and a T-Mobile sim card. That works most of the time, Verizon hot spot when it doesn't on my phone.

Same here after 11 years on the road ATT has surpassed Verizon in coverage, we still have both, but ATT usually has the best coverage.
