Was going to fulltime Summer 2015 :(

But we just can't see how we can do it with a teenager (male) and a 3 year old (female) without them having their own space. We want a Class A but all the bunk models don't offer much privacy for anyone. Non-bunks will have the two of them sleeping in the main room...just doesn't seem ok.

Thought of 5th wheels but even with bunk rooms they have to share or one is on the couch (pull-out)

Unless there is a pull behind bedroom that we can put behind the motorhome I think we are going to have to wait until 2019 :(

We didn't even own an RV before we retired and are now having the time of our lives. As the old saying goes "good things come to those that wait".
Look at the up side, you now have more time to save for that RV. You might find that the wait was well worth it.

Check out the toy haulers, I have seen some of those with the garage converted to sleep space. And also a bedroom w/ bath right by the garage. Keep looking.

I liked the ones that had the garage and the loft in the living room but I was concerned about how they are insulated. We will be in Hampton roads/N. Virginia.

There are a few 5er floor plans where there was a "bunk room" in the back that was kind of sectioned off into two sections, with drawers and storage cabinets in between. I believe it even had a 1/2 bath too in some.

I don't think I would let that stop me from doing it.

Husband is really concerned about his little sister being everywhere and the teen not being able to have his own area to escape to. The whole reason we started this journey is to keep the family together and not be separate so much.

Any RV of any sort with 3 distinct sleeping areas would be amazing!

Well an RV isn't what you want to stay in in an area that has winter. Why even look at an RV if you aren't going to move - - that is the whole idea to MOVE!

We plan on moving it on weekends and trips to see family in PA, NJ, AND FL. We also will take summer trips for 2-3 weeks and all holidays.

We thought that since hubby is military we could use the housing allowance to help pay it off the next 10 years while we live in it too.

That way we retire (after 30 total year science we are at 21 now) and have the coach almost paid for and the house is already paid for. Then we've got his retirement to live off of

That's why we need something that feels like home, because it will be for the next 9 years

Well I have learned a lot this last week.

We have been going back and forth and I want to get a 5th wheel toy hauler that has the garage the big kid can use as a bedroom. The loft in the living for the middle kid. The little one will be with us for the year.

I don't mind a big truck (we'd trade my Lincoln for it)

I think Hubby is now scared to take the plunge :(

I love this plan since the kids can have their own space, but I have never considered a Park model.

Does anyone here full time in a Toy Hauler?

Will the garage sleeping area be OK during colder temps? What temperature are they good down/up to?

We have a member (007) that pulled a small pop up behind his coach for his twin daughters. See photo below from their arrival at the 09 iRV2 Nat'l Rally. Gave the girls their own private space.

You wouldn't be able to tow a car then, but you could always rent one once you get to your destination.

Park models aren't for traveling around, if you're wanting to tour the country. Park models are meant to be "parked" in 1 location, even though they do have wheels to get them to their spot.
