Your RV salesman sounds like the Ford truck salesman I tried to buy a New truck from in December 2020. I told him I wanted a V-8 engine , he proceeded to tell me I would not be HAPPY with a V-8 .He said I needed a V-6 Ecoboost, I told him I am 70 yrs old and wanted another V-8 engine. He refused to sell me a V-8 because I would not be HAPPY , I finally told him to Kiss My Azz and went next door to the Ram dealer and bought a V-8 . Then I went back to Ford dealer and showed salesman, I told him see I got a V-8......I am too old to listen to this type of Salesman, my $ Cash money will spend anywhere.

If you are going to spend much time in cold weather, dual pane windows are worth it. They don't seem to be quite as important in hot weather as in cold weather. Is the salesman trying to sell you a unit on the lot? Is that why he is trying to talk you out of dual pane windows? You're probably going to have the RV for a long time, so do what you want, not what he wants.

2003, we converted a 1997 Ford CF8000 commercial truck to our concept of an ExpeditionVehicle.

In our conversion, we installed stand-still house dual-pane windows.
We chose 3x1 sliders, and mounted them at our eye-level while standing inside... about eight feet above ground to discourage peepers.

We *think* these dual-pane windows eliminate condensation,.
We are *pretty sure* these dual-pane windows reduce noise transfer.

Find another dealer

It could be that the dealer does not have RVs with dual pane windows in stock and he wants to move his inventory.

The only issue I have seen is that sometimes the seal between the windows fails slightly around some of the window edges and produces discoloration. You know it's there because it occurred on your RV but nobody else notices and it does not reduce the positive effects of dual pane windows. I would not buy an RV without them. When at Entegra for my final warranty visit they replaced some of my windows that I did not know were a problem.

dual panes

Didn't have them in the last RV and was always wiping the condensation off the windows. Our Newmar Baystar has them and not once have we had to do that. Plus, once it gets toasty inside it stays toasty. The only window that ever fogs is the windshield and that's NOT doublepane.
