Winter Sun

Looking for sun opportunities in Western U.S. for the months of November thru March. Our ideal situation looks like this. The stay would be in 1-3 month increments depending on what amenities are available.

Under $1000 a month
Dogs and children on leashes
Areas to bicycle outside the park. I want to road bike 20-30 miles a day.
Golf course, under $75 🤞
A little grass would be nice on the individual site
Pool and outdoor hot tub
Clean bathrooms with shower
50 amp service
No loud music (I am starting to sound very old)
The surrounding community should have a place to: bowl 🤏, occasional movie, get nails done and hair, 2-3 restaurants, a lake-River-body of water would be nice.
A Costco within 50 miles or at the least a nice supermarket
A place to fly fish would probably be too much to ask.

Whoever comes up with the winning ideas will be treated to dinner when we see YOU there.

Tucson, AZ has it all - even fly fishing if you drive up the mountain and in nearby communities for a day trip. Awesome paved biking throughout the whole city. Lots to do in the area. You may find that many winter communities are 55+ and older and perhaps no children. However, I believe the Tucson KOA doesn't have those restrictions. You might even get a whole season rate.

Check out Mesa - Apache Junction area. Everything you want PLUS lots of great museums, etc. (assuming we ever get back to normal) in the greater Phoenix area. And SPRING TRAINING! Tucson no longer has any Spring Training taking place, so kind of a bummer. You can find every type of park you want (most at 55+) with size going from 25 to 2500 sites in a park. Cal-Am has several parks and they offer a 4 month special, one price for September-December that can be used in just one park, or split among 2-3 parks. Most people come just for Oct-Dec, still a great value. Jan-March are the prime season, you will need reservations for monthly stays during that time.
