American Girl Mine, CA/AZ border

Any comments about boon docking there? Suggestions? Recommendations? Water? RV Dump? Laundry?

And yes, I'm unable to spell or type Girl correctly. Long day though really nice weather

I was just watching a vblog about 2 days ago. This is their website: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaO..._as=subscriber

FWIW, we do not get graded on spelling or punctuation.

Thank you!

I got here about four days ago. It seems a little weird with some RVers saying the part they're on is private land and they have special permission. I'm about 300 yards from the next RV and earlier tonight I had a pickup drive right up to my truck while I had the generators running on the tailgate. My first boon docking though I'm questioning some of the other RVers behavior.

GeoAstro RV was out here last night. I found where to dump my tanks and I think I found where to fill my fresh water tank.

We've always stayed east of Olgiby Rd about a mile north of AG Mine Rd. I believe that area is all BLM land. Never had any issue with camping there. Great area. There's a storm forming here in San Diego this morning. I would expect you won't get much rain if any as it moves your way but you could be in for a day or two of some stiff wind. Are you using the gas station at Sidewinder for dump & fill?

I have camped many weeks in the American Girl mine area, which is several miles into CA. Water is available at Grey's well on I-8 West of Ogilby Rd a few miles at the rest area. The Shell? station just W of Yuma on I-8 South side has/had a dump. Maybe LP. A few years ago, the BLM ran several rigs off for parking too far from the established roads, but we returned the next year without an issue.

I found the water source though busy and low water pressure. I filled up with 20 gallons because RVs were lining up plus my gauge wasn't working correctly. I did find the gas station, Chevron, that has an RV dump.

I'll have to check out that BLM land north of American Girl Mine. A woman filling up with water said she's been going to American Girl Mine for the last five years and said it was crowded this year. I didn't think it was crowded.
