Any boondocking available around Pismo Beach CA?

Interested in knowing of any BLM or other boondocking opportunities around San Luis Obispo/Pismo Beach area. Thanks....

Land is VERY expensive up there near the coast so no public land available. All you'll find are a few RV parks and they charge a premium.

If you're willing to do it, and you have a rig that's capable of it, you can actually camp on the beach. We did with our fiver and 4x4 truck. Followed up with a bath of Salt Away to take care of the beach residue. Was a great time!

plenty of state parks along that stretch, Jalama beach, Montana del Oro, etc
