Boondocking Etiquette Question
Long, expensive story summed up- bought a class A & installed solar. Class A ended up being total junk (lesson learned) & uninstalled the solar.
We came from Seattle to Phoenix & bought a new Class A & have been exclusively boondocking- love it!
Problem/question is- we really need to reinstall the solar but I can't find any information on if this is frowned on when boondocking.
We aren't repairing the RV, just adding solar. Okay to do or not so much?
Thanks!

Boondocking, like out in the middle of nowhere with no one around, who would know?
If you've got folks around, then start late enough in the morning that you're not risking waking people up, and quit early enough in the evening that everyone can enjoy nature.

Most of my time is spent dry camping or boondocking as you call it I have enough solar panels on my roof to run a small City. Most dealers however don't know how to install that many panels so you have to make sure you find someone who knows what to do when you start installing more than three or four panels

Additional information : I have 6 Go Power 175w panels... at the time I installed them go power did Meg not make a controller strong enough to handle that much amperage so I use an Outback solar panel controller which easily deals with it. I bring in roughly one kilowatt hour per day minimum with my panels even in Cloudy weather

I'm really not understanding your questions. Sure it's fine to add solar for boondocking. It's very common to do. Since you're in Phoenix you might want to go to this place for questions and suggestions:

I understood the question to be "is it OK to work on the MH and do the solar INSTALLATION while boondocking?".
I see no reason why not.

If you don't spill the solar fluid on the ground you should be ok.

Work on the Jeep while boondocking. Others doing same/similar. Solar install no problem.

A month in the Q is always a good time to get trailer tasks done. Just don't flush and drain your black tank and you can pretty much do anything else. Lol.

Miecow,
If you are actually and truly boondocking, no problem.
If you are Wallydocking or occupying somebody's parking lot, then that might be an issue. People don't like us to work on RVs on land they own because it might just go poorly and be left there forever......
