Boondocking in Vermont & NY Adirondaks ????

Hi all, Planning another 3 day weekend to learn more about new RIG in a few weeks and was thinking to just find place to park and not try to get in a camp ground. Looking for some feedback on if the VT. Man allows big rigs on side of road or pull outs ???

I know a few places on some of the gaps that would be a great place to spend a night, Example : Top of App Gap would be very nice, I think Brandon gap has pull out up somewhere I stopped at years ago with swamp below , would be cool to wake up and see Moose there . Also maybe Pico or other ski area's parking lots ????

Gonna be looking for some swimming holes also ...

Any experience would be appreciated. I used to do this a lot 5-10 years ago back in the VW Eurovan days , when I was hiking and rock climbing and with 17 ft. rig it was so less obvious .

Also thinking of a trip to Lake placid area planning the same thing, I know of BIG dirt pull off right off the Northway ( Rt. 87 ) on left just up a few hundred yards on Rt. 73 that could work one night . Whiteface Ski area parking lot maybe ????? Looking for help

Thanks ,

Steve & Debbie

Steve, there are plenty of state parks to boondock in, but pulling off on a roadside is not recommended.
