Boondocking South Colorado/Arizona

On I-25, looking for a decent overnight spot. Oops I meant New Mexico.

It's not a boondocking site but check out the NRA Whitting Shooting Range off I-25 in New Mexico just south of the Colorado border.

You can get coordinates and directions to boondocking sites on Days End.

Well, we ended up calling it a night a little earlier and stayed at a rest area on 87, near Des Moines, New Mexico. Nice little stopover with lots of others doing the same.

I took a look at the Days End site - does the list of boondocking sites that it has include off the beaten path stuff that's more scenic than Wal Mart and Cracker Barrel? I'm on my second night of boondocking this trip, and I think I like it. This time around, we're just in overflow parking at a military base Family Camp, but not being dependent on campground sites is nice.

Yes, Days End covers 90-95% of scenic spots rather than WalMarts, etc.
