Burns Lake Campground - Ochopee, FL

We are heading there in a couple of days for four nights of dry camping. Any tips/hints of what to expect from someone who knows this area? Thx!

I had it on my list of potential stops late next month. But when I read the reviews and learned about the sandy pothole filled road leading in from the highway I changed my mind. Lots of places I really don't want to get stuck and the crocodile filled everglades is pretty high on that list.

Not much close to the CG, but Everglades City has a Tour boat run by the Feds. That and a bunch of airboat rides, and an old classic hotel/restaurant in town.
Once you leave, head east and stop at Shark Valley with your rig, they have a few RV spots to park. Tram, bike, hiking path out to an observation tower. It's a 7 mile loop. Get there when they open, for RV spot.
