California coast boondocking

Feeling depressed because I didn't plan anything for next long weekend 9/4/20 , any recommendations for boondocking along the coast from Ventura to big sur (unless you have any camp sites tips) driving a 33' super C RV, thanks in advance..

Rincon Parkway is great, but has likely been booked for months, and will be full by mid week. While it is technically boondocking, it does cost $30 per night.

Sadly, there is really no boondocking on the coast south of Ft. Bragg, as far as I know. (By boondocking, I mean camping that is not in a campground, as in a national forest.)

There is dry camping, but it is hard to get a reservation. A few campgrounds do have a few "first come first serve" sites.

I would work the phones everyday. Cancellations happen. Once I had no place to go for the 4th of July. Ended up nailing a spot. I called in just after someone canceled. Long shot but you never know. Ventura beach RV resort is huge and they get cancellations even on big weekends.
