I'm a boondocker and found "Days End" to be very worthwhile. It is part of the Escapees.

You need to be an Escapee member to subscribe to Days End. However, both are excellent.

Colorado boondocking

Just to the west of Colorado Springs and most easily accessible from Woodland Park is Rampart Range Road which is US Forest Service road 300. From around the Rampart Reservoir area and north there are lots of great boondocking spots, many with views of Pikes Peak. But get there during the week to have a good selection of sites. Also, secure your loose stuff, 301 is prone to washboard and sites are not what you would call improved roadways.
