Bingo. If you have one cap, and lose it, you have no cap. If you have two caps for different purposes, lose one, you still have a cap. Not everyone needs two caps for different purposes, but those of that do now have a good spare.

I use that remote tank setup on my Honda 1000 and it will run for DAYS on a 5 gallon boat can of gas. We run dawn til late evening at 4 day events and never add gas to the tank. Can't beat the convenience.

I have the Honda 1000 and a Honda 3000. The 1000 is 6 or 7 years old, has 1000's of hours on it. The 3000 is 3 years old and has 900 hours (has the meter). I have never run anything but premium pump gas from name brand gas stations. Never used additives or drained anything or done anything special for storage. Never had anything gum up and they always start in a few pulls whether it sits for a day or 6 months. BUT, I maintain them regularly, and the 3000 actually goes to the local Honda dealer for service annually.

Ethanol free gas is wonderful if you can get it. I use it in my Harley whenever possible. I don't notice any difference in power, but it does idle and run far smoother than normal premium gas. In Florida you will find it as Rec 90 at stations near the water and marinas. But the marinas will soak you at float up prices. Check out Ethanol-free gas stations in the U.S. and Canada to find stations nationwide that offer ethanol free gas.
