Ah, no.

The price I paid for 2 165W (according to seller 165s and 175s are the same) was 330.
And the same set of panels for the Auction prior was 327.
The very NEXT Auction the same panels went for 366.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/2-175-Watt-...l/282819488290
And now they are out of stock..

So, that whole supply and demand thing.. really works.

Paying for a panel at auction isn't a great comparison when paying at a set price. That auction shows 15 bids from others that thought they wanted the panel. I haven't been in a store line were other persons in line started a bidding war on a fixed price.

It is an excellent comparison as long as it's an exact apples to apples comparison, let's say Fuji Apples from a particular orchard, are being compared to the same apples from the very same orchard. It will be an excellent indicator of what the market will bear for those items. If they're not the same metaphorical apples from the same orchard, than it might be helpful to someone doing pricing research if they are close comparisons to other like items to be able to judge a fair price. Auctions are great for trying to buy and sell at the best price possible for one or the other, and it's the fault of the buyers and/or sellers if they don't know what that is.

It does not apply to US manufactured solar panels.

When imported solar panel prices are up, most likely domestic solar panel prices will go up as well.

i said this on post #10:

"those real domestic panel manufacturers such as sunpower, will not sit there idling. when they see less competitions from imports, they will jack up their prices to widen their margins."
