Quiet Generator for 30amp RV

One question here. I am going to do some dry camping and would like to be able to use the ac. The Honda is 2k. The harbor fright is 700.00
I see a lot of bad reviews on the champion. Is there one that is highly recommended on these forums or is it really just a crap shoot?

We have a Ryobi from Home Depot, fairly quiet like the Honda but cost way less. I've had it for 5 or 6 years now with zero issues. We bought a Ryobi pressure washer from HD also this year, it has a honda motor on it lol.

HFT Preditor Inverter/Generators

I have both the 2000i and the 3500 HFT Inverters.
The 3500 goes with me in the Southwind 27ft motor home and it runs my AC & everything else. I have a working/running onboard Onan generator, but it costs 5000$ to replace and is noisy.
The 2000i goes when I take the Truck camper on the SuperDuty.
Both are very quiet and have run flawlessly for me.
We HFT Preditor engines in five of our 6x6 AATV's, and maybe 5 other 4cycle powered toys, with zero problems.
I change the oil & filters regularly.

Using a Predator 3500 here, and added a remote start system...

Topic comes up pretty regularly. There are lots of good reviews. I still like the Northern Tools Powerhorse 3500/3000

It's a twin of the HF Predator except blue instead of red. As I've posted previously, the primary reason I favor NT over HF is that NT offers in store service and parts. I still haven't needed to put that to the test though.

I don't think you would go wrong with the Powerhorse or Predator. Whatever brand you choose, just make sure it's an inverter generator.

If you want to pay the most get a honda, I prefer a Champion remote start inverter generator. The Harbor Freight Predator is excellent also.

If you have only 1 A/C unit and you install a Micro-Air Easy Start you should be able to use a smaller generator, one in the 2200W-2500W range. Watch this video:

We just picked up a Honda SUV and are thinking about taking it on the road in a trailer. Where are good places to use it? Thanks.

Harbor Freight routinely sells the portable Predator 3800 watt (58 decibles under load is real quiet) usually for $550-600. Electric start. Good buy that does the job at a 30 amp requirement.

My Champion 3100 was a good value, worked well, was relatively quiet, and served its purpose. If I had to do it all over again I would buy two smaller genney's that added up to 4000 watts and could be paralleled.
