4x4van. Are you sure about this? I thought the winterizing pump only sucked fluid into the lines.

That's correct, but if you have the "tank fill" option, that is simply another "faucet" from the pressurized lines that dumps into your tank. Easiest way to see if your RV is plumbed that way is to turn on your tank fill valve (with no city hose hooked up) and turn your water pump on. If the pump continues to run, it will work.
