My son just deployed to Iraq with the II MEF this week so I am displaying a Blue Star Flag in our home and also RV. Was wondering if anyone else has done this?

I know back when I was in Vietnam this was not popular or even common knowledge. I have read that a lot of families took some heat from the anti-war group so the Blue Star flags were not displayed.

If interested you can check Blue Star Mothers
Cheers.

We're fulltimers so have Blue Star clings on the MH and toad.

Funny thing is gate guards often salute and act like they're for a 2 star general. We've even had people we know but that don't know DHs rank assume they are for a 2 star .

We're proud to explain what the stars represent!!

My Mom flew a flag in our window in the 70s back in Chicago. I don't think folks who had family in the war cared what protestors thought, at least not in our area, but the flags were there for the soldiers.

Fly it proud mom.

May God keep them all safe.

When hes ready to come home, goto www.patriotguard.org and let them know and get some folks there to welcome them home. Theres a lot of vets that know what its like to not have a welcome home that would be proud to be invited to do that. You can e-mail me with any questions.

Three Blue Stars proudly displayed on my MH.

God Bless all who serve, and those that stand behind them!

Best Regards!
