Well, we have reservations the end of April for Cheatham Annex in Williamsburg. We are also getting the America's Historic Triangle pass which gives you unlimited visits during your stay for Jamestown Settlement, Colonial Williamsburg, the Yorktown Victory Center and Historic Jamestowne and Yorktown Battlefield. It is $65 for adults and $28 for children 6-17. Also, active duty military and their dependents get into Busch Gardens for free for one day.

Cheatham Annex is $108 for a week and $18 per night. We are assigned site #4. It appears to be situated between Yorktown and Colonial Williamsburg. Does anyone know where Jamestown is in relation to any of these?

This is a last minute trip for us. We wanted to make sure to see Williamsburg before we PCS. He has to report to Ft. Polk July 3.

We are hoping to miss the anniversary crowds. The kick off celebration is May 11-13. The Triangle pass we are getting specifies it is not good for those dates. Admission on those dates is $30 per person per day. YIKES! I hope that since it is not a schoo break and before the kickoff, there will be few crowds. The ability to travel avoiding school breaks is one reason that we homeschool.

I will let you all know how it is when we get back.

Anyone who has been there with any tips, please let me know.

Sandra,

You're going to enjoy the Cheatham Annex CG. Nice bathhouse/laundry room and they even have pretty good cable TV. I stayed there alot on a previous AD tour as a Geo-Batch, and we stay there on our annual visit to Busch Gardens.

If I remember correctly, Jamestown is at the other end of the Colonial Parkway, which runs right past the Annex, the opposite direction from Yorktown.

Have a blast, the CG is right on the golf course, too.

Best Regards!
