Davis-Monthan Famcamp Fee Increase
In case you weren't aware...
As of 1 October, 2001, the daily rate for the DM Famcamp will increase from $17 to $19/day.

I was not making a judgment, just stating a fact.
BTW, I don't use KOA as the standard.

As of Oct. 1, 2001? I'm not the only one with fat fingers, huh? Actually $19 is low, I have stayed at FamCamps that charge mid 20's which were not nearly as nice as Agave Gulch

I just wonder if the money will be used to improve the FamCamp or used to support other activities. That's normal for MWR!!!!

Thanks for the info. Was stationed at DM from late 69 to early '71 and never got to see the boneyard. Too many 12-14 hour, 6 day a week schedules and when I was off, did not want to see or be on the base. Hoping to go down there to see it and the Pima County facility some time soon.

$19 is cheap. I investigated what it would cost to stay at Wright-Patterson AFB Famcamp, it came out to $30 a night. They are open year round, though.

In the majority of situations the money goes into the MWR fund and supports all of the MWR activities, including the RV park. Unfortunately there usually is not enough to make any major upgrades. It is different at each military installation, but usually the general MWR fund.
