I think Wayne, that they were originally issued to the old DI's in the "Old Soldiers Homes",I'm sure you remember how 'hard of hearing' they were back in basic,they were always telling me that they could not hear us,even when we were all SCREAMING!

You know what is funny is that Russia and some other countries have still have electronic acoustic devices for detecting aircraft because the stealth B2 bomber and the real stealthy F/A-22 fighter cannot be detected on their radar.
