Well, I've heard many times that pilots have said flying is the most fun you can have with your clothes on, so that would certainly qualify as recreation.
Joining the Mile High Club must double the fun!!! Same for "If this RV is rockin'..."

One more time. Here's a YouTube Navy training video of how to carrier qual in a T-28 aboard the USS Lexington which is now a museum in Corpus Christi.

The aircraft pictured are T-44C "Pegasus" based on the Beechcraft B90, not C-12 Hurons. I paid more attention to the nose of the aircraft. Only later did I notice the lack of a T tail as found on the KA 200s and C-12s.
Mea culpa.[emoji57]

Wait! The Air Force let you do that? I remember back in the 80's as a Navy puke, operating out of Nellis for a couple days, if we didn't walk 50 yards out of our way to walk through a break in the red line painted on the ramp instead of just walking directly from the maintenance spaces to our aircraft and CROSSING the red line, we'd be face down on the asphalt with a couple of M16's pointed at us from the security nazi's.

Just came across this YT of a B-52 takeoff into a strong crosswind. You might enjoy it too.
