As long as you stay in the network, you can go to that dentist and save. Every procedure has a different percentage price. But, with that said, I can go out of network and they still will pay a good percentage of cost. For example, in network, they may pay 80%, but out of network may only be 70% to 50%. Depending on the procedure you are having done.
Bottom line, every Dental Insurance is hoping you will not go past you max ceiling. But, like i said, mine will still pay 40% as long as you stay in Delta Network.
Hope this helps. Don't expect much from a Dental Plan. Most have a 2500 dollar ceiling. One crown can cost $1800. Read the fine print also. Some companies will want you to get prior approval before any procedure. This happen to me many years ago on a root canal.
