Also a vet of Eielson AFB but about a decade before you. Still the best duty station I had.

I was in Supply. Back then it was still the Alaskan Air Command or AAC. We tended to call it the Amateur Air Command at times. It was just a great place to be stationed other than the incredible cold.

We got about two feet in this last storm. It’s been keeping the John Deere busy clearing the driveway. Might try to get South next month for a few weeks.

As a side note, one of the winters I spent in Alaska we got something like 12 feet of snow in Fairbanks. Up there you don’t get a February Thaw so it was there until April.
