6 years Army (1982-1988).

Basic: Fort Dix, NJ
AIT: Mort Monmouth, NJ.
First duty: Fort Devens, Mass.
Second duty: 2 Inf Btn, 1/72 Armor Battalion, (Camp Casey) South Korea
Third duty: Fort Belvior, VA.

I got "out" when I realized Army life was no longer good for me and I got out of the Army all I wanted and needed too. My personal aspirations did not align with the needs of the military. I recognized that so I got out while the going was good. No regrets. It was a correct decision.

I got into computers after that. Retired now and living happily ever after.

I took the oath of enlistment on August 21, 1967 to join the United States Marine Corps. I went where I was ordered to go go and served my country as I was directed. I was relieved from active duty six years later but have never walked away from my oath of service. Simper Fideles! Still loving my country.
