Anyone fulltiming with a bird? (mine is a pigeon)

Does anyone here take a bird with them in their RV?

The countdown to full-timing is now days away, we just bought the motorhome this morning. We have a new family member 1 flightless pigeon (a wild city pigeon that got hit by a car last year, wandered under our porch, and came running inside during a snowstorm than never left.) He can't be returned to the wild as a result of his injuries, and quickly adjusted to being a house pet. During the day he follows me around, staying right at my feet all day. At night he sleeps on my pillow and preens my hair. Today you'd never know he had ever once been a wild pigeon. This is not the first pigeon I've had, I used to raise pigeons years ago, this will however be the first time I've taken a pigeon RVing with me. I know people take dogs and cats with them quite often (I will also have on board, 11 cats, and a dog, so my motorhome will be a mini-Noah's ark), but I never hear anyone talk about taking birds with them.

Anyone got any bird in an rv stories to share?

I don't have any birds, though I have always enjoyed them, bird watching. I would assume that someone on this forum has a bird and travels with them, I am sure you will hear from them. Wow, you travel with alot of pets, all we have is one doberman pinscher, and that is alot of fun. Blessings to you for caring for all your animals.

We don't fulltime but have an african grey that travels with us all the time. We had to get a 5er with a floor plan that would accomodate her cage. She travels in the truck with us in a fairly large canvos doggy bag with screen windows in it. She travels well with no problems. She is always a big hit at the campsites.
