Cats in RV
Are Cats that stay in a RV considers PETS to camp grounds or resorts
Do you have to pay extra for indoor cats ?
Do you even have to tell them you have a cat
Or are the pet rules and charges more for dogs .
Thanks

In our experience, campgrounds consider cats pets.
I cannot recall having to pay extra for our indoor cat.
You should tell a campground you have a pet. They may have procedures to follow, and you want them to know in case of an emergency.
At one campground in Texas, the registration staff gave us a plastic container with treats in them. We use that container today for the cat treats. Our cat is very attuned to its sound.

I don't recall paying extra for my cat either.
I always let them know I have a cat with me. All of the campgrounds I've talked to are unconcerned about them.

Depends on how the campground asks...if it just asks dogs, I say 1 but if they ask pets, I say 6 but 5 are indoor only cats.

We always tell them we have an indoor cat if they ask about pets. If they don't ask it never comes up. Have never had to pay any extra for her.

Do you guys just put your cats in kennels and into the truck while moving (if you have a 5er or travel trailer)?

I have seven cats that go with me. Have never been charged extra. When asked I tell them seven, but only one that goes out and only on a leash.
I also have two RV Kitty Kondo's that hang on the side of the MH.

We put the cats in two soft side kennels (5 cats), that fit side by side in the back seat of the truck. The brand is Nature's Miracle, size is up to 30 lbs which is why we have two. The dog rides in her bed in the back seat as well.

When we had our fiver we had a cage built that spanned the back seat of the crew cab. Now that we have the motorhome we have them in carriers if the trip is under 4 hours, if over we let them out in the bedroom and bathroom. Funny though, they usually remain in the opened carriers, we have 5 carriers, 8 cats and a love bird. The love bird sits in between hubby and I in her cage.
I always tell the campground, they have yet to ever charge us, in fact they usually say they don't count indoor only pets.

Yes, we bought the largest dog kennel that would fit in the back seat of our crew cab and I built a little shelf in it so they have a little more room. We use a little fold up carrier to carry them back and forth to the RV .

Hello Group
Speaking of cats where do you keep the litter box at? We've been putting it in the shower in my 5th wheel but now that we just got a new Class C I thought I would ask.
Thanks, Jake

No class C here but in our 5er, one goes in the closet (door remains open) and the other is next to the dresser at the escape window. Both are top entry to contain litter. We use our shower every day, I can't see not doing that and wet litter on a shower floor becomes concrete.
