Otis is ready for a day on the water. You should always wear a personal flotation device just to be safe!

Hi all,

I'd like to introduce our newest four legged kid. He is the last of seven dogs that a dear deceased friend of ours lived with on an acreage she owned. Prior to her death the dogs all roamed the property and lived the life of Riley but were all put up for adoption at her request in the will. The other six all were adopted but Mikhail was closest to Carla and had the hardest anxiety complex over her departure. DW and I could not stand to see him so alone and so depressed at the separation so we took him into the fold. Mikhail is a registered Swedish Valhund and his pedigree papers accompanied him to our house.

The clan all agreed begrudgingly to pose for a group picture and I am taking the opportunity to share with you all. Hopefully Mikhail (Micky) will be as comfortable with his existence here as his two new sisters are t present.

Mizzie (being aloof) is positioned in the background, Izzy is up front giving me the 'big smile' I requested and Mikhail is in between trying to fit in. No problems with any anxieties yet and all three are enjoying hanging out together in and out of the house.

Mikhail looks a lot like a Keeshound. I had a couple for several years. One was stolen right before Xmas. Think somebody thought she would make a nice Xmas present. Very smart dogs (Keeshounds) that are good with kids.

Izzy has a cute smile.

Izzy seems to be in love with him. Keeps running up and licking him. He is very easy going and the kids next door and their friends all were playing with him this afternoon and he really really enjoyed the attention.

I built a fenced in area for my 2 Keeshounds, Buddy and Bushy and a Cockapoo. When it was done I pointed to Bushy and said: Get in there. She jumped the gate like she'd been doing it all her life.

It is surprising how well they understand and how large their working vocabulary grows each year. Izzy and Mizzie both understant when we spell T-R-E-A-T or C-O-O-K-I-E when they are around. Too smart for their own god sometimes.

Sadie knows that D-O-O-R means she gets to look outside till she gets bored. This is when GF had her two `pins over. Sadie on the right.
