Love that picture!

All I have to say is the word "Chipmunk" and our pup Hershey will go from dead asleep to full alert at a window, then another window and another until he stops and looks at me as if to say "Where..where is he?"

Three words get our older pup from a sound sleep to instant attention - squirrel, turkey and best, cat. Loud doggy words follow. If she were to catch any of them, probably would just want to play as she doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body.

This is Hershey with his #1 mostest favoritest toy. 'His" 4 wheel drive monster truck. On dry pavement it can go up to 35 mph and Hershey will be picking them up and putting them down with his ears back and a grin on his face as he tries to catch it. When he does, he flips the truck sending it tumbling over and over.

Hershey makes sure I pack his monster truck when ever we head out to tour this beautiful country. Gotta tell you, watching Hershey chase that truck in a campground grassy area is a real kid and babe magnet! Sharon always is close by to keep a eye on me!

Thanks BiggD,

She would sit for hours if I left her. When she is outside she stalks them also :-) I never thought of using a remote control truck for her to chase:-)

If you do get one, and mine is a Traxxas 4x4 Stampede, make sure you get plenty of spare parts like wheel bearings and axles and better tires. Hershey takes great pride in shaking his 'kill' and that is hard on the bearings.

My Lily and Hershey should meet. Lily loves to run just like Hershey. The truck is a great idea that I’m going to steal for Lily. Did you have to do anything to get Hershey to chase it? I need one with a squirrel costume. Lily's mission in life is to chase squirrels.

Way back I posted a photo of our two. Here's another in the TV on the way camping. Callie(8) is the apricot and Molly(4) is the silver that isn't turning full color. All you have to say is let's go camping and they are the first ones ready

Just a word of warning.

We just got back from the vets with our 3 year old labradoodle. Apparently when we went out for a walk yesterday the asphalt was just too hot for his feet. He is a harden hiking dog and very active, but the sizzling 96 degree temperatures we had yesterday in Kansas simply destroyed the pads on 3 feet. The forth foot is just fine.

So be mindful of temperatures and asphalt. That is Mocha the head cat giving comfort to Hershey.
