Denise and I had no real idea of how much the Furb's absence was affecting Mizzie until the day Izzabelle arrived. At first she was mildly interested and quite quickly became her old scheming playful self. She obviously missed having another pup to play with.

We kind of feel bad for depriving Mizzie of a playmate when we watch the two running around the place being little arshmadinks. Izzabella will never be the Furb, but she doesn't have to be; she's creating her own little space in our hearts.

Well, it's a sad day here, Will, our big flamepoint boy had a bladder stone again. Took him to the vet and they operated today. The operation went fine, but his cardio-vascular system collapsed and they couldn't save him. Only 5 years old and such a lover.
So, for now we're down to 5 cats but I'm sure my wife will find another one and a Japanese Bobtail breeder friend will "help"!
Will was a true "under the woodpile" stray that my step daughter adopted. When she died about about 4½ years ago the two grandkids and three cats came to live with us.

My pal Bandit, went over the bridge yesterday. I had him for 9 of his thirteen years and I couldn't have had a dearer friend. Succumbed to Cancer. I told him to go visit my father and to walk on him if he was sleeping (just for badness).

Sorry for your loss. I think your dad would enjoy the furry company.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope Bandit finds your father and that they will be waiting for you at the bridge.

My sincerest condolences to both of you on the loss of your special furry friends. They will live on forever in your hearts.

It's been a week so I am finally able to chat about it. We knew George was not long for 2013 and then Shadow started having more seizures. One of the hardest decisions of our lives. George is brown and Shadow is black. After years they started to look like one another. We feel like so much is gone especially since we have no children. We Love you George & Shadow, always and forever.

Loss of 1 family member is hard, 2 at the same time is devastating. It makes me sad to hear you have to go through this. It always take a while to get on an even keel. I know that your memories will take control but for now it must hurt. George and Shadow were fortunate to have you.
