Solo Challenging Days
I am about to finish up my summer trip ... been driving this wonderful country since April. Going home to my lot at Bella Terra in Alabama. There have been a couple of challenging days driving a 45 ft motorhome pulling my Grand Cherokee, but yesterday goes in the record books!
About to go over the Baton Rouge bridge (which I hate) and an alarm starts going off ... in traffic ... what to do ...? Kept going and the dogs now have broken down the barrier I have to keep them in the back and away from me while driving. Both are trying to get on my lap and around my feet. My one dog, Carl is trying to drive! All while traffic is super heavy, alarm going nuts .... my other dog, Alvin is screaming .... finally pulled off the side of the road on I-12. I had bought an extra fire alarm and put it on the wall a couple years ago, well it fell into the dogs water bowl and that is what set it off. After I found what the alarm was, I took the alarm and through it out the door. Bet it is still going off! The trials of motorhoming solo .... Set up at Hollywood Casino in Bay St. Louis for the next two nights ... need a break and walking distance to a bar!

And then you would have let the radioactive Americium 241 out of the ionization detector.

I have driven across that bridge many times, and am now finding myself thinking, where would I have pulled off, and I don't really have a good answer, probably Perkins Rd, or College, but even the closest of those is a couple of miles from the bridge.
