Solos just conversation

Let's move our back and forth posts off the Solos newcomers thread and into a thread of it's own.

One quick way to subscribe to this thread is to post to it. How about everyone just say "Hi".

Dear sweet loveable moderator, would you please sticky this thread for us. Please with sugar and honey on it. I hope you're old enough to remember that form of begging.

Maybe we should redo our intros here since lots has probably changed since we first joined. I'll start...

I'm Barb, age 61, been divorced since 1977. I have one human daughter who is 37 and lives in Seattle and two furkids (see below). I retired 19 months ago after a small inheiritance made it possible. Thanks Dad and Wanda!

I fulltime in a 24' Class C. Summers I spend in Seattle, winter in the south -- I let the weather dictate my schedule. My aim is to be wearing shorts and T-shirts 80% of the time and never run the A/C. I had only spent 1 night in a TT some 20 years ago,
but I knew when I retired I wanted to travel and a motorhome seemed like the only way to travel with a monkey.

I'm in Conroe, TX now, but leave for Orlando, FL on 12/26 so that I can enjoy the theme parks one last time before I get to old. My 11 yo nephew is driving down with me and he will fly home on 1/7. I'll then move to a friend's place SE of Tampa for the rest of winter. They have gibbons!!

I rarely stay in campgrounds. I'm lucky to have friends and family all over the country who will let me stay on their place. When driving from one to another, I visit National Parks and see the sights of this beautiful country. And I enjoy the quiet of the forests for boondocking.

Well here goes:
My name is Darlene, I am 55 yrs. old, in the process of getting a divorce. No children, no pets.
At the moment I don't have an RV. Had a TT and a MH, but due to the divorce I sold the TT and ex-hubby to be, took the MH and our dog. So maybe, I am not technically an RVer at the moment?? Have been Rving for a few years before all the crap (divorce) started. But I plan on getting another RV and moving to the Tampa,FL area to start my life over.
I guess I just want to take some time and regroup. Set up my RV in a 55 and over campground and just relax for awhile. Who knows, maybe in time I will take the plunge and fulltime on the road. I am hoping to get to FL within a year, though, that seems so far away at the moment. For now, I am in NW Ohio and dreaming of the day when I can be in FL. I have had so much to process in such a short time, I just want to move forward in my life and look forward to meeting some great folks on this site and at the campground.

Hey all, I'm a 58 yo female that got to retire early in Feb of this year. I finally sold my house in late October and went full time and hit the road on 7 November. Currently in Casa Grande, AZ, planned to only stay one night enroute to New Orleans but found I like the weather and the RV park so am staying put for a couple of months, not like I've got to be any place fast.

Just me and the dog and this place has a great fenced in dog run.

Intros

Hi I'm linda, a 59year old semi retired single who has spent the last three winters in Tucson in My Allegro Bus. I travel with my two dogs and my parrot.
I just sold my bus and have an entegra anthem on order. I plan to pick it up in february in Tampa. Would love to meet up with other singles in Florida if any of you will be there. I'm not liking the weather here in New Hampshire. Can't wait for February!

I am Wayne and I guess the oldest here so far at 68. I travel with my dog Sam and we hope to be in Florida in February. I unfortunately get to be away for about five weeks as I went back to work and bought a small motel ten years ago and now with the economy down, there are no buyers pounding on my door when I would like to be on the road more.

Merry Christmas.
