EZ...pink peppercorn sauce

3 TBSP crushed pink peppercorns
1 lime juiced, plus zest
1/2 cup honey

Mix together. Good on fish, lamb, veggies. Not yet tried on beef.

(This is not the California tree peppercorn. These are from Peru, Brazil or even India.)

UPDATE.....so my supply of schinus terebinthifolius pink peppercorns was getting low and I Googled for some more.

Two warnings popped up about pink and black peppercorns: Can be slightly toxic if eaten in large doses and can be a skin irritant. Another site advises if you are allergic to nuts....don't eat.

Don't know if a live link will show, but....

https.nutgourmet.wordpress.com 7/19/14 Warning pretty pink peppercorns can be dangerous

UCANR Web Sites and poisonous plants

I am going to make some of this tonight for crab cakes......if you never hear from me again.....as Paul Harvey used to say "Now you know the rest of the story"
