Good Morning, Ray,
Thank you for your message and good wishes. We are thrilled about our new Cornerstone. Planning to take our first big trip next week.
With respect to the SRX, we tow it "four down" with a Blue Ox Aventa LX tow bar. Had the SMI Stay-in-Play Duo supplemental braking system installed. Blue Ox produces a faceplate set up specifically designed for the SRX. After installation, you can see the cable hooks and electrical interface protruding from the lower grill below the bumper. The cost for the equipment, installation and set up was about $1,800.
Configuring the car for tow is very easy. There is a button on the shift counsel that you push and move the shift into Neutral. Release the parking brake and flip the switch for the supplemental braking system. Move the pedals into the most rearward position and the car is all set.
We've been towing the SRX for about 5,000 miles so far and have had no problems.
I hope this helps.
Best regards,
Rik
