I happened to run across an AC landing light out in my shop yesterday. The numbers on the back are 4537-3 AIRCRAFT rated at 13V, 100W with 1104 after the watt rating. They do light up the night! I'm sure they use LED's now.
How's it going with the driving lights? I posted a pic of a truck to show their idea for driving lights in Norway and other northern countries!

Just a matter of a relay triggered by your high beam circuit instead of low beam as it is now. To check it, have someone change from high to low beam back and forth a few times with the fog lights on while you watch from in front. Have you found any replacement lights yet? Maybe a projector style driving light?
