Hi kstateaddict. The support I removed was a metal strap that was held on with two bolts. What I did was to secure plywood to the existing metal plates. Then I covered the plywood with with Pergo. The wall mount is bolted through the metal plate & plywood. TV is held in place with two velcro straps around the bottom edge, & a small square of sticky velcro on the bottom corner edges to stop the straps from sliding down. We have gone over 4,000 miles and the TV stays in place & storage in the rear of the TV is easy to access. Pics that I took of the floor project are posted at: Picasa Web Albums - Terry & Bev + Cookie along with our other projects. The electric fireplace is what we used to heat the coach during the last southwest Florida winter; if it was forecast to freeze we also used the box heater in the utility bay to keep the tanks above freezing. Sorry for taking so long to reply I was not aware of your message. Good luck: pace89.

Hello, I have just joined the site and saw your write up on installing the flat screen tv in your winnebago. I am very interested in doing the same type of installation and was wondering if you could give me some more detailed information on the installation.
The main questions I have are 1. Did you remove all the metal support framework for the old tv support. 2. It looks like you built a box that must attach to the existing side storage boxes?? 3. How do you keep the tv from rattling or vibrating during travel. If you have additional pictures of the build process I would be very interested. My brother who lives in Washington is setting here and is also interested in the questions since he also has a Winnebago that he wants to do the same type of install. He is also going to join the site. He is also very interested in any info and pics of your floor upgrades. Also we both love the idea of putting the electric fire place in the rig. Great idea. Thanks very much. Jerry
