Hey Bill, thanks for the reply, It was the fan motor starting capacitor. I checked with my local a.c. repairman and he confirmed it sounded like start capacitor. I removed old one took to town he checked it with meter and verified it was dead. 15.00 capacitor and all is great now.thanks for your detailed instructions on removing ac,was a big help.

Hi Craig, just now saw I had 2 unread posts. These profile comments don't send out an email notification. When it come to starting/stopping sequence, I don't have any immediate recommendations as I'd have to study up on the service manual. Do you have the troubleshooting guide from Coleman? Link here. There is detailed step by step sequence what's suppose to happen. Relay contacts can get oxidized when not used for a while, especially if there's a lot of moisture in the air. It does not mean they are weak or bad but just need to get active again. If you have an ongoing intermittent problem then yes might need to be replaced. Could also be open or shorting wires, so you could move the wires around and retry the startup process for go/nogo. Good luck, Bill

I started pulling a.c. out using your guide, got elbow disconnected and turned fan on it worked. Question now is if the hi or low relay is weak will that prevent fan from starting? I just moved fan with switch on and it started. Before I could hear motor hum but not start. I'm just not sure if there is a starter relay for fan that is bad or weak. When running it is quiet and smooth.

Inside blower does not start, comp 1 starts, outside blower starts,2nd comp starts, runs approx 1-2 mins ,all shuts off, inside blower never starts. Any info greatly appreciated. Thanks Craig. Please pm me,I'm kinda new to forum and don't have it all figured out yet
