I found my kwikee notes. to open the steps to access the step motor. Apply 12+ to red wire. Apply 12- to green ground wire. to extend the steps touch the white wire to 12+. This will work if you have a electrical problem. If the steps are bound thru the gears, you will have to reach in and pull out the cotter pin and remove the pin in the linkage or take out the three 5/16 head screws in the gearbox and drop the gear down.

if your step is up and covering the motor, you can open the step by putting twelve volts to the motor. You will have to unplug the rubber connector at the steps. It is a square connector about 1 in. by 1in. I am sorry, but I can,t remember the color wire to open the step. It seems like it was yellow and brown. You can pick up twelve volts from the red wire (on the coach end) and ground from the step ground wire.
to get the correct colors call kwcikee at 1 541 942 3888. Make sure you keep well clear of the step path when you operate them. They will hurt you. Don't be afraid of them, just respect them. (kinda like your wife)
