I read a thread where you had the same issues with a Generac NP-80D.

I'm experiencing the same runs at start but stops when releasing the preheat button.
You did a number of things to resolve the issue. In the end do you think the original board was good and that some other wire was contacting or vibrating or whatever to cause it to shutdown?

I've traced my issue to the control board, opened the enclosure and checked and tightened the wires. Still same issue. At this point, thinking I may need to replace the control board, following in your footsteps.

You mentioned finding a set of schematics and service manual for this generator. Can you kindly direct me to the source or maybe send a copy via email?
