Pitfalls - Have the engine checked out. May not have been serviced by mechanics. Lots of owners do their own work and are not professionals. Check out all the plumbing - it's old and may have some leaks. I had several, all fixed now. Use Pex with sharkbites - fantastic little gizmos for connecting pipes. Seating may be old and dirty - Replace, recover, or live with it. Some parts are hard to find, but not imposible.

I love mine. I've been living in it full time since Jan.1. I made some modifications that improve the quality of life and made the unit "mine". Took out the old icemaker which often didn't work and replaced it with a portable icemaker. Made a nice cabinet for it and a sliding shelf for ease of use. Replaced the fridge with a residential model of similar size. Took out the dash tv and put a cabinet in it's place with a sliding drawer inside and a small rack on the outside of the door for cell and cigarettes when driving. Painted the interior to suit me. It's well built and snug. I got it for what I thought was a good price and paid cash. Yeah, I like mine a lot.

I'm thinking about a late 80's holiday rambler. How do you like yours? Any advice or pitfalls?
